The Vagina Monologues are a part of a larger campaign to stop violence
against women and children called V-Day. The monologues are a transformative
set of real women's stories that have been preformed all over the world
since 1996.

1 in 3 women are sexually abused. The affects of sexual abuse last a
lifetime, and multiply over time. A large part of what allows the violence
to exist is the silence that surrounds it.
